Man Stole Items From Smith Haven Mall, Fought Employee: Cops

The Brooklyn man was charged with robbing the store over the weekend.

LAKE GROVE, NY - A Brooklyn man was arrested for robbing a store at the Smith Haven mall on Sunday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.

Jose Collado-Nunez, 31, stole two fragrance sets from Macy's in the Lake Grove mall at about 3:50 p.m., police said.

As he was exiting the store, he fought with an employee, police said.

He was later arrested and charged with third degree robbery.
