Man Used Stolen Credit Card In Smithtown: Police

The card had been stolen from a handbag at a beach in Nissequogue, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, used a stolen credit card at a Smithtown convenience store in August.

A man used a stolen credit card at 7-Eleven, at 91 Sheppard Lane, police said. The card had been stolen from a handbag at Short Beach in Nissequogue on Aug. 24, police said. The man is wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
