Man And Woman Try To Use Credit Cards Stolen In Lake Grove: Police

A woman's wallet was stolen from her shopping cart in February, and a man and woman tried to use credit cards, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the two people who police said used stolen credit cards.

A woman’s wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at Whole Foods in Lake Grove on Feb. 24, police announced on Wednesday. A man and woman tried to use credit cards that were in the wallet to make purchases at Target and Best Buy in Centereach the same day, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
