'Matilda Rocks' Performed By Smithtown HS West FAST Program: Photos
The musical mashup of "School of Rock" and "Matilda!" was performed by the Functional Academics Secondary Transition program students.
SMITHTOWN, NY — The Functional Academics Secondary Transition (FAST) program at Smithtown High School West rocked the house with their performance of "Matilda Rocks," a musical mashup of "School of Rock" and "Matilda!" the Smithtown Central School District wrote.
"The movies are both heartwarming stories that celebrate individuality, creativity, and the power of youth to effect change," the district stated. "Students in the FAST program have special education classifications and are learning functional skills in order to be independent members of the community."
