Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Crash Near Smith Haven Mall
The 23-year-old was struck by a driver turning into the mall on Thursday night.
LAKE GROVE, NY - A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash by the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on Thursday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Connor Popolo, 23, of Nesconset, was driving a 2014 BMW motorcycle westbound on Middle Country Road when he was struck by a 1997 Toyota driven by Natalie Maldonado, 23, of Brentwood at 6 p.m.
Maldonado was traveling eastbound and attempting to make a left turn into the mall.

Popolo was transported by Nesconset Fire Department Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Maldonado was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
