Napper Tandy Wars: Smithtown vs. Miller Place

Whether you feel like dancing, sitting outside or just eating wings and watching the game, Napper Tandy's provides a great, low-key environment for all age groups. The bar has two locations, one right here in Smithtown and one close by in Miller Place.

Napper Tandy's in Smithtown has a great atmosphere, especially on Wednesday nights.  Wednesday is wing night and they offer all you can eat wings for just $13 from 8 - 10 p.m. There are also beer pitcher specials throughout the night.

Smithtown Napper Tandy's also features a newly renovated, spacious outdoor patio area to sit with friends.  This adds another dimension to the bar scene, especially in the summer months.

This is where the Miller Place Napper Tandy's falls short. Even though both locations are essentially the same bar, the atmosphere in each Napper Tandy's is different. Smithtown is perfect if you're looking for a small place to have a beer and catch up outside over food with some friends. But if you feel like dancing, shooting pool and interacting with a larger, more lively group, my suggestion is Miller Place.

The positives of both these places? Since they are close together, you can go to both. If you're tired of the constant high school reunion at the Napper's closest to home, switch it up. The Smithtown Napper's predominantly consists of people from Smithtown, Commack and Hauppauge, while the crowd at Miller Place is where more Setauket, Port Jeff, and Middle Island people gather.  

Either way you can't go wrong, especially if there's a game on.  So grab your favorite Mets or Yankees hat and go mingle at Napper's.
