ST. JAMES, NY — Students at Nesaquake Middle School in St. James raised money for veterans during their Salute To Service fundraising, according to the Smithtown Central School District.

Mrs. Peppe's Life Skills class hung ribbons and raised money for veterans. All students and staff were encouraged to wear camouflage and donate any amount of money to purchase a ribbon, which is displayed on the school walls.

Students will then take the money donated and go shopping for items for veterans at the Northport VA.
