Nesconset Woman Charged With Failing To Care For 9 Horses: SPCA
Many of the horses were suffering from health issues and were emaciated, the SPCA says.
A Nesconset woman was arrested for failing to provide proper sustenance including veterinary care to her horses on Friday, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
Vanessa Costello, 29, was charged with a total of 9 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Her horses were being boarded in Bohemia. Many were suffering from health issues and were emaciated, according to the SPCA.

Costello is due back in court on August 13.
The 9 horses are presently being cared for at a local stable and are receiving the much needed care.
