Obituary: ​ John Anthony Ferro Sr., Formerly of Smithtown, Dies at 94

Service: Wednesday, October 19 starting at 12 p.m. at the Branch Funeral Home Smithtown on 190 E. Main Street in Smithtown.

Obituary: John Anthony Ferro Sr., formerly of Smithtown, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13 at his home in Vero Beach, Florida. He was 92.

He was born in Brooklyn and lived in Smithtown for 11 years.

John was a US Army Veteran of WWII and served from 1942 to 1945. He retired as a bus driver throughout the Long Island/New York City area.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Anna Maria Ferro, in 2010.

He is survived by his son John Anthony Ferro, Jr. and his wife Maria of Vero Beach; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Internment will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
