Police: Man Wearing Surgical Mask Robs Nesconset Bank
Capital One bank robbed Tuesday morning.

A man wearing a surgical mask robbed a Nesconset bank on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to police, a man entered the Capital One bank, located at 250 Smithtown Blvd, at 10:55 a.m., stated he had a gun and demanded money. The teller complied with the robber’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police said. The man fled on foot eastbound on Smithtown Boulevard.
The robber is described as white, between 30 and 40-years-old, approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He was wearing a wool hat, sunglasses, a dark sweatshirt, dark pants, white shoes and a surgical mask, police said.

Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating and anyone with information on the bank robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
The same bank was robbed in June. A Kings Park man was charged in that robbery and six other bank robberies over a two-week period.
