Silver Alert Issued for Missing Lake Grove Man

The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Lake Grove man who has mild dementia and diabetes.

Hugh Powell, 78, was last seen on Tuesday after dropping off his wife at Stony Brook University Hospital. Powell told his wife he was going home but never returned to his residence, police said.

Powell, of Dandelion Court, is described as black with brown eyes, gray hair, about 6-foot and 160 pounds.

Powell was last seen wearing a blue rain coat with a brown sweater and tan pants. Powell drives a gray Subaru Outback, NY plate ESE 7118.
