Smithtown Cop Blotter: Ice Cream, Cash, Stolen From Sports Center

ALSO: Two cars were stolen from King O'Rourke Cadillac, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Oct. 2: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Grove at 4:18 a.m. Someone broke into Mayra’s Bakery by using a cement stone to break a glass door, police said. The thief stole a cash register, police said.
  • Oct. 2: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 4 a.m. Someone pried open the back door of Big Belly Que and stole cash from the register, police said.
  • Sept. 30: Criminal mischief (third-degree) was reported on Devon Lane in Smithtown at 12:10 a.m. A person broke the windows of a 2016 Honda Accord parked outside a home, police said.
  • Sept. 30: Grand larceny (second-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset from Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. Two 2022 Cadillac CT4 were stolen from King O’Rourke Cadillac, police said.
  • Sept. 29: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 1:56 a.m. The front glass door of SUSA Smithtown was broken, and cash and ice cream were stolen, police said.
  • Sept. 28: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Maple Avenue in Smithtown at noon. Jewelry was stolen from a home after a burglar entered through an unlocked back door, police said.
