Smithtown Elementary Staff Recognizes National Autism Awareness Month
April is National Autism Awareness Month.

To recognize National Autism Awareness Month, Smithtown Elementary School faculty and staff purchased T-shirts to educate others about autism spectrum disorders and the challenges faced by children with autism.
Every Friday in April, they will wear these shirts or a royal blue shirt – the official color of National Autism Awareness Month — in support of this cause. Every year, autism organizations around the world develop unique fundraising and awareness-raising events.
