Smithtown High School East Musicians Selected For All-State Conference

Ten Smithtown High School East students from the Smithtown Central School District have been selected for the New York State School Music Association’s All-State Conference.

The following students were chosen to perform in the NYSSMA All-State Conference from Dec. 1 to Dec. 4 in Rochester:

• Jack Furci (jazz drum set/alternate)
• Kylie Lavrenchick (soprano I/women’s chorus)
• Max Lippman (baritone saxophone/alternate)
• Ryan MacCarthy (tenor II/mixed chorus)
• Aaron Min (alto saxophone/alternate)
• Lolita Nazarov (tenor saxophone/symphonic band)
• Keisuke Setsu (violin/alternate)
• Max Sherman (tenor I/mixed chorus)
• Brandon Star (trumpet/symphonic band)
• Justin Wei (violin/symphony orchestra)

These students were chosen among thousands of student-musicians who auditioned at solo and ensemble festivals throughout the state.
