Smithtown HS East Musicians Play At Six Flags

ST. JAMES, NY — Three performing groups from Smithtown High School East participated in the "Music in the Parks" competition at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, the Smithtown School District announced.

The Concert Band, under the direction of Jennifer Leavy, received second place with a rating of Superior. The Concert Orchestra, under the direction of Brian McCoy, received first place with a rating of Excellent. The Treble Choir, under the direction of Mark Hegreness, received first place with a rating of Superior.
