Smithtown HS East Names Commencement Honor Speaker

SMITHTOWN, NY — Aman Mistry, a senior at Smithtown High School East, was voted by his peers to deliver the commencement speech this year, the school district announced.

Seniors who achieved a 4.0 cumulative GPA through high school got to vote for the commencement speaker.

The entire group was honored at the school’s annual Gold Cord Breakfast. Fellow senior Trishaulla Kanhai, who is president of the Class Council, is also set to speak at commencement.
