Smithtown HS West Relay For Life Team Scores For Fight Against Cancer
Students and faculty played a basketball tournament, raising $700 for the American Cancer Society.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Students and faculty at Smithtown High School West hooped it up for a great cause on Friday, the school district announced.
The Relay For Life team came up with the idea of a student versus faculty basketball game, and more than 60 people participated. More than $700 was raised and will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
The "Bull-Dozers" won the tournament, going an undefeated 8-0. The team consisted of faculty Jon Feiler, Jeff Sedler, Steve Robinson, Lou Bontempo, Deron Brown, and Christian Agostino.
