Smithtown HS West Senior Nominated For Good Citizens Award

Stephen's essay entry won first place which earned him a certificate and a monetary scholarship. The essay will be judged on a state level.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Stephen Hunt IV, a senior at Smithtown High School West, was recently nominated for the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest, the school district announced.

The award is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship through
the Daughters of the American Revolution Anna Smith Strong Chapter.

Hunt IV's essay entry won first place, which earned him a certificate and a monetary scholarship. His essay will now be passed on to the state competition.
