STONY BROOK, NY — Smithtown High School West Leadership students visited the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony Brook on Saturday and Sunday, the Smithtown Central School District announced.
The students put together some care packages, as well as giant thank-you cards signed by the class. They presented the gifts to the veterans.
Jack DiMaggio, a leadership student at Smithtown High School West, organized the event.
