SMITHTOWN, NY — The first week of Kindergarten is monumental for children. The students in the Smithtown School District had a blast learning and making new friends, the district stated.

Throughout the district, students have been learning class rules and routines, reading books, tracing their names, rhyming, reviewing colors and more since school began on Sept. 6.

One kindergarten student said, "I can’t believe it’s the last day of school this week!"
