Smithtown Memorial Day Parade 2017: What You Need To Know

Check out what you need to know before heading to the Smithtown memorial day parade this holiday weekend.

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend -- the unofficial start of summer. That means there will be barbecues, parties and of course, parades.

In Smithtown, the annual parade will be once again be held this weekend. The annual event is sponsored by Knights of Columbus. In addition to the parade, a Memorial Day ceremony will be held immediately after.

Date: Monday, May 29

Time: 12 p.m.

Starting point: The parade will begin at the Branch Shopping Plaza on Singer Lane.

Parade route: The parade will go down west along Main Street.

Ending point: The parade will end at Town Hall 99 W Main Street.

Cost: Free

Weather: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon.

Additional information: Marchers should wear black pants and a white shirt or blouse and lodge jacket if you have one. American and Italian flags will be provided. For more info, click here.
