Smithtown Police Blotter: 2 Men Damage High School's Pole Vault

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- April 20: Criminal mischief (third-degree) was reported on School Street in St. James at 7:15 a.m. Two men went to Smithtown High School East, shook pole vault support beams and bent them beyond repair, police said. The duo ran away, police said.
- April 20: Criminal mischief (fourth-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown from April 19 at 6 p.m. Someone damaged a 2007 Honda Fit's back windshield and trunk, police said.
- April 19: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Ledgewood Drive in Smithtown at 4:40 a.m. Someone stole a 2017 Nissan Altima and tools, police said.
