Smithtown Police Blotter: 2019 Infiniti Stolen From Driveway

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

• Dec. 2: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 3:11 p.m. Someone cashed a counterfeit check using the Audrey Bloom JD Mortgage Fund bank account, an employee reported, police said.
• Dec. 1: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Alex Court in Lake Grove from Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Someone stole a 2019 Infiniti parked in a driveway, police said. The keys had been left in the Infiniti, police said.
• Nov. 29: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Nancy Lane in Nesconset from May 1 at noon. A woman received a text message requesting personal information and provided the information, police said. She was then scammed out of her unemployment benefits, police said.
