Smithtown Police Blotter: 3 Burglars Attack Homeowner
ALSO: $100,000 worth of watches and jewelry was stolen in a separate home burglary, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- June 19: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Old Post Lane in Nissequogue from June 18 at noon. Somebody kicked in a home's window and stole several watches and other jewelry worth roughly $100,000, police said.
- June 17: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove at 4:41 p.m. A person stole men's clothing worth $3,043 at Macy's, police said.
- June 16: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Old Willets Path in Smithtown from Feb. 3 at 12:01 a.m. A scammer stole $9,000 from a woman's checking account by using her personal information, police said.
- June 13: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on West Main Street in Smithtown at 6:42 p.m. A person stole $1,000 worth of groceries from Stop & Shop, police said.
- June 12: Burglary (first-degree) was reported on Hamlet Woods Drive in St. James at 3 a.m. Three men in dark clothing walked through an unlocked front door and punched the homeowner multiple times, police said. The homeowner suffered cuts and was taken to a local hospital, police said.
