Smithtown Police Blotter: $6,400 Worth Of Sunglasses Stolen
ALSO: A wallet was swiped from an unlocked car, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Feb. 7: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Huntington Avenue in Smithtown at 8:56 p.m. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked 2018 Alfa Romeo parked in driveway, police said.
- Feb. 6: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove at 7:38 p.m. Someone stole 19 designer sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, police said. The sunglasses were worth roughly $6,480, police said.
