Smithtown Police Blotter: Box Truck Stolen
ALSO: A Smithtown 7-Eleven's office was ransacked, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between Nov. 20 and Nov. 26.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Nov. 24: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Hilltop Drive in Smithtown between 4 and 8:30 p.m. Someone removed a bathroom window screen and opened drawers inside a home, police said. Police do not believe anything was stolen.
- Nov. 25: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Smithtown between 10 p.m. Nov. 24 and 7:20 a.m. Nov. 25. A 7-Eleven office was ransacked and a cash register was pried open, police said. Cash and cigarettes were swiped, police said.
- Nov. 25: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset at 9:48 a.m. A box truck was stolen from a parking lot, police said.
