Smithtown Police Blotter: Businesses Burglarized

Cash was stolen from both stores, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between April 3 and April 10.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • April 7: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 1:02 a.m. Two people kicked in the front glass of Mr. Smoke Shop and stole cash and cigarettes, police said.
  • April 6: Burglary (third-degree) was reported on Gilbert Avenue in Nesconset from April 5 at 10 p.m. Someone broke the glass front window of Smithtown Acupuncture and stole cash, police said.
  • April 4: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Middle Country Road in Nesconset from April 1 at 5 p.m. Someone stole rims and tires from three vehicles at Smithtown Self Storage, police said.
