Smithtown Police Blotter: Cadillac Escalade Stolen

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between April 30 and May 6.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

• May 6: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Dorchester Road in Lake Grove at 2:40 a.m. Someone stole a 2008 Cadillac Escalade, police said. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys nearby, police said.
• April 30: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Brookvale Lane in Lake Grove from 11 p.m. on April 24. A catalytic converter was swiped off a 2010 Honda, police said.
