Smithtown Police Blotter: Cash Stolen From Gas Station ATM
ALSO: Someone's car was smashed, with the windows and lights getting broken, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between Oct. 1 and Oct. 8.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Oct. 3: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown at 1:35 a.m. Someone stole cash from an ATM at an Exxon gas station, police said.
- Oct. 1: Criminal mischief (second-degree) was reported on Long Beach Road in Nissequogue at 2:15 p.m. Someone smashed the windows and lights of a 2008 BMW, police said. The entire vehicle was dented and scratched, police said.
- Sept. 30: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Veterans Memorial Highway in Smithtown from Sept. 23 at noon. Someone stole a 2004 Jeep Liberty from Vets Auto Service, police said.
