Smithtown Police Blotter: Gun Stolen In Home Burglary

Ammo and a PlayStation were also stolen, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between Nov. 12 and Nov. 19.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Nov. 19: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Manor Road at 4:45 a.m. Someone stole a gun, PlayStation, jewelry, ammo, and a cigar lighter from a home, police said.
  • Nov. 18: Grand larceny (second-degree) was reported on Nesconset Highway in Nesconset at 4:55 a.m. A 2010 Ford Truck was stolen from U-Haul in Nesconset, police said. The stolen truck was found at a house and returned to the owner, police said.
