Smithtown Police Blotter: Jewelry & Medicine Stolen From Home

ALSO: A woman's wallet was stolen while she was browsing Stop & Shop, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Nov. 13: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on West Main Street in Smithtown at 2:30 p.m. A woman was at Stop & Shop when a man distracted her, and her wallet was snatched from her purse, police said.
  • Nov. 12: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Lone Oak Path in Smithtown at 8 a.m. Someone stole jewelry and medicine from a home, police said.
  • Nov. 7: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Ledgewood Drive in Smithtown from Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. A Jeep parked in a driveway was broken into, and tools were stolen, police said.
