Smithtown Police Blotter: Tires & Rims Swiped From 8 Vehicles
The thefts took place at an autobody shop, and five vehicle windows were also smashed, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- March 12: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Celestial Court in Smithtown at 4 a.m. Someone went into an unlocked 2020 Range Rover parked in front of a home and stole cash, an iPad, a laptop, a wallet, and bank cards, police said.
- March 11: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Middle Country Road in Nesconset at 1:30 a.m. A person went through multiple cars at Sal's Auto Body and nabbed tires and rims off of eight vehicles, police said. Five vehicle windows were also broken, police said.
- March 10: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Croft Lane in Smithtown from Sept. 20, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. Someone used someone else's banking information to make multiple charges, police said. The identity theft was reported to the police on March 10.
