Smithtown Police Blotter: Weapons & Jewelry Stolen From Home

ALSO: A 2022 Land Rover was stolen from another home, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between April 24 and April 30.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • April 29: Identity theft (first-degree) was reported on Windwood Drive in Nesconset from April 19 at 7:20 p.m. Someone hacked into someone else's bank account and stole money, police said.
  • April 29: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Country Woods Drive in St. James at 2:41 p.m. A thief entered a home and stole jewelry and weapons, police said.
  • April 28: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Woodlawn Avenue in St. James from April 27 at 9 p.m. A quad was stolen from a shed behind a home, police said.
  • April 28: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Fifty Acre Road South in St. James from April 26 at 8 a.m. Jewelry was stolen from a home, police said.
  • April 26: Grand larceny (second-degree) was reported on Atterbury Drive in Smithtown at 1:28 a.m. A 2022 Land Rover parked in a home's driveway was stolen, police said. The key fob had been left in the car, police said.
