Smithtown Police Blotter: Woman's Wallet Stolen

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between Feb. 19 and Feb. 25.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

• Feb. 23: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Middle Country Road in Nesconset at 2:45 p.m. A wallet was stolen from a woman's purse at Costco, police said. The wallet held cash and credit cards, police said.
• Feb. 20: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove at 2:45 p.m. Clothing was stolen from The Children's Place, police said.
