Smithtown Rotary Club Honors 15 High School Students
The students were recognized for their dedication and perseverance.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Fifteen students across both Smithtown high schools were honored by the Smithtown Rotary Club on Thursday, the school district announced. The standouts were recognized for their dedication and perseverance.
Every district high school guidance counselor recommended one student who has overcome significant obstacles or adversity to excel in school.

Maria Knakal, Olivia Stroveglia, Daniel Anderson and Saif Shermatov.
Smithtown High School West: Karolina Tulika, Ashley Bulnes-Hernandez, Lauren Lee, Evelin
Rivera Pavon, Grace Ferrante, Fatma Dogruok, Madelyn Melendez and Alec Flores-Jimenez.
