Smithtown Student-Athletes Discuss Civility And Sportsmanship

The students discussed how their civility translates to their behavior on the field.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Students in the Smithtown High School East Athletes Helping Athletes club attended a Sportsmanship and Civility Leadership Conference at Adelphi University on Tuesday, the Smithtown School District announced.

The purpose of the conference was to address the issues of sportsmanship and civility. The students discussed the importance of civility, and how these behaviors relate to sportsmanship on the field.

They were asked to discuss and highlight the positive choices they make in relation to sportsmanship and civility.
