Smithtown's Tackan Raises $700 At Islanders Game At UBS Arena

The PTA raised money for the school's Arts in Education program.

ELMONT, NY — The Tackan Elementary School PTA recently raised nearly $700 for the school’s Arts in Education program with a fundraiser held at UBS Arena, the Smithtown School District announced.

More than 120 members of the Tackan community came out to cheer on the NY Islanders as they played against the Calgary Flames.

After the game, the community members were all able to walk on the ice for an unforgettable group photo, the district wrote.
