St. James Fire District To Host Election For New Commissioner
Residents can choose a new commissioner to replace Lawrence Montrose, who will be retiring after this year.

ST. JAMES, NY - Residents in the St. James Fire District will be choosing a new fire commissioner this week.
On Tuesday, Dec. 12, the fire district will be hosting an election for to fill the seat of current chairman Lawrence Montrose, who is not seeking re-election due to retirement.
Residents will have the chance to elect either William Howard or Joseph Kuethen to a five-year term.

The vote will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Jefferson Avenue Firehouse.
An additional voting location will be open at the Fairfield Condos at St. James for those residents who reside in Election District 79 and who also live within the St. James Fire District.
