Tackan Elementary Students Of Smithtown Create Mural

NESCONSET, NY — Students from grades 3 through 5 at Tackan Elementary participated in this year's Shanti Fund Art Competition, according to the Smithtown Central School District.

All students created a mosaic mural collectively as a school to show their unity, which aligned with the Shanti Fund theme of Peace and The Environment. Students in grades K-5 all had the opportunity to contribute to the creation of their mural during art classes with Mrs. Chandler, the school district said.

The mural will be displayed proudly in their school.
