Town Of Smithtown To Hold Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Performances will be made from students across the township, and food pantry items will be collected. Here is what you need to know.

SMITHTOWN, NY — The Town of Smithtown is set to host its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at Smithtown Town Hall, according to a news release.
"The Tree Lighting Ceremony is a fantastic community-based event that includes live music, performances from our local school districts, delicious treats and a special guest from the North Pole, courtesy of Smithtown Fire Department," the town stated.

Feature performances are set to include the Smithtown High School West Whisperettes Kickline, the Hauppauge Kickline, the Smithtown HS West Jazz Choir, the Great Hollow Middle School Chorus, and the Accompsett Middle School Chorus.

Items for the Smithtown Food Pantry will be collected during the event. Residents can help by bringing non-perishables like canned foods, boxed cereals and snacks, powdered milk and powdered baby formula.
Entertainment for the evening will include live music by DJ Just For the Record and balloon sculpting for kids by Animations. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served by the Town of Smithtown’s Recreation Department team. Fresh baked cookies have been donated by Lessing's Hospitality Group. Additionally, Katie’s Food Truck will have food available for purchase.
