WATCH: Amid Major New 9/11 Benefits, LI Advocate Feal Keeps Fighting
John Feal told Patch AM, "This is what I'm going to do the rest of my life."

NESCONSET, NY — One of the leading voices for 9/11 first responders, John Feal, was at the White House on Wednesday as President Biden signed the PACT Act into law.
This compensation focuses on the toxic exposure at the burn pits that sickened millions in the two decades since the attacks.
"Illnesses are the same. The respiratory illnesses, the cancers, the stories are similar, Feal, a guest on "Patch AM," said. "They were fighting for 13 years and didn't get anywhere. When they approached me, I said, 'I'll get this done for you.'"

Feal, who has appeared for other bill signings with other presidents, said his FealGood Foundation has championed a perfect 15 for 15 record of getting legislation passed.
While, Feal, a former construction worker at Ground Zero, is not done advocating for 9/11 veterans, "at the end of the day, I can at least put my head on my pillow and know I'm trying my hardest."

Feal, who was injured at the 9/11 recovery area when a steel beam fell on his foot, will always look out for his brethren.
"Life is short and I'm going to do as much as I can before I can't do it anymore," Feal admitted. "This is what I'm going to do the rest of my life and I'm alright with it.
