2 Wanted For Lake Grove & Centereach Thefts, Vandalisms: Police

Items and tools were stolen from cars, while vehicles, mailboxes and sidewalks were spray-painted, police say. Here are some photos.

LAKE GROVE, NY — A series of thefts and graffiti hit Lake Grove and Centereach early Saturday, Suffolk police said.

Two men entered multiple unlocked cars on Frederick Avenue, Wade Drive, and Hy Place in Lake
Grove and a vehicle on Norman Drive in Centereach, police said. They stole items including spray paint, a wallet, cash, credit cards and tools, police said. The duo then used the spray paint to damage six vehicles, two mailboxes, a driveway and the street, police said. The men were driving a white SUV, possibly a newer model Acura MDX, police said.

They are wanted for grand larceny, criminal mischief and petty larceny. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
