Woman Used Fake ID At Smithtown Bank: Police

She tried to withdraw $2,000 from another woman's bank account, police say. Have you seen her?

SMITHTOWN, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the woman who, police said, used fraudulent identification to try and withdraw money from another woman's bank account this summer.

A woman used a fraudulent Connecticut driver's license to try a $2,000 withdrawal from a Great Neck woman’s account at Chase Bank, at 705 Smithtown Bypass, Smithtown, around 5:20 p.m. July 3, police said. The woman has tattoos on both hands, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
