2 Injured In 3-Car Crash On County 39: Officials

The crash was reported at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Two people were injured in a three-car crash on Tuesday night in Southampton, officials said.

According to Chris Brenner, public information officer for the Southampton Fire Department, the crash took place at 9:25 p.m. in the westbound lane of County Road 39 near Sandy Hollow Road.

The injuries were non-life threatening, Brenner said.

One vehicle had a fuel leak; traffic was diverted around the scene and was moving slowly westbound for about an hour until the road reopened, Brenner said.
