2 Nabbed For Selling Alcohol To Minors In Southampton Sweep: PD
Police also commended other establishments in Southampton and Hampton Bays for compliance.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Two were nabbed for selling alcohol to minors during a sweep that took place Saturday night across Southampton Town, police said.
The Southampton Town Police Department's community response unit, in conjunction with the New State Liquor Authority, conducted checks of local establishments to ensure they were compliant with SLA statutes, police said.
During that operation, an 18-year-old clerk from Riverhead was arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor, and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage under the NYS ABC law, police said. He was arrested after an investigation revealed he sold alcohol to someone under the age of 21, at The Garden Deli in Flanders, police said.

A female juvenile was also arrested and charged with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage under the NYS ABC law, after she sold alcohol to a person under the age of 21 at the 7-Eleven in Flanders, police said.
Both were released on appearance tickets, to be arraigned in court at a later date, police said.
