2016 Hampton Classic Set to Kick Off Sunday

The event is a pinnacle of the summer season in the Hamptons.

BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — Although Sunday, the opening day of the 2016 Hampton Classic, marks the approaching end of the summer season on the East End, for serious equestrians, it is the beginning of a week of intense competition.

It's all about horses, from Sunday's "Hampton Classic Leadline", where young riders on ponies will be judged by their families and Olympic Gold medalist Joe Fargis, until Grand Prix Sunday on September 4, the day to see and be seen by celebrities.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show is popular because the event features something for everyone — riding competitions, shopping, fun for children, and plenty of food.
