2nd Listening Session Set On Southampton Law Enforcement Policy
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said every municipality must come up with a plan for police reform by April 1 or forfeit state funding.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — With an April 1 deadline for submitting a plan for police reform approaching, Southampton town officials are presenting a second public listening session for its community law enforcement review committee.
The CLERC session will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
Cuomo has said all police departments must work to improve community relations and said the initiative is critical moving forward. Each municipality must come up with a plan that works for that local area, he said, and those that don't complete the task by April 1 won't be eligible for funding in the new state budget.
