BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — A man was arrested after stealing money from a car parked in Bridgehampton in July, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, on July 12, officers on patrol responded to the report of stolen money; an investigation ensued, police said.
A canvass of the area was completed for video, as was outreach to anyone that may have witnessed the theft, police said.
As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, detectives and community response unit officers arrested Raymond O'Brien, 47, of Bridgehampton; he was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a "D" felony, police said.
He was processed at Southampton Town police headquarters and held overnight for morning arraignment, police said.
