SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Manorville man was arrested in Southampton Thursday after being seen driving in a "reckless, erratic" manner, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 2:15 p.m. when a call came in about the driver heading east on County Road 39.
Upon arrival into the area, responding police units located Luke J. Caprari, 31, of Manorville operating the vehicle in question, police said.
Upon interview, he was found to be operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs, police said.
Caprari was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic infractions, police said.
Caprari was held at police headquarters for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
