• Man Charged With DWI After Water Mill Crash Sunday: Police (patch.com) — A 22-year-old Middle Island man was charged with misdemeanor DWI after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole on Schwenks Road in Water Mill, according to Southampton Town police. Officers say he showed signs of intoxication, was arrested at the scene, and held for arraignment, while no injuries were reported from the Southampton-area crash.
• Bonnie Lautenberg: Artist, Photographer & Renaissance Woman (danspapers.com) — Next summer, the Southampton Arts Center will host Bonnie Lautenberg's acclaimed "Artistica! Where Hollywood Meets Art History," recently named among Washington, D.C.'s top exhibits. The photographer and conceptual artist, who considers the Hamptons her hometown, shares how her political life in Washington and global travels shaped the work that will soon be on view locally.
• This Art Collector's Southampton Home Plays by Its Own Rules (elledecor.com) — A recently redesigned Southampton Estate Section home gets a contemporary makeover tailored to an art-collecting bachelor, with vintage furnishings and bold works by major artists. Designer Patrick McGrath's project, meant as a temporary refresh before demolition, impressed the owner so much he abandoned plans to raze the house, keeping this stylish East End retreat intact for future seasons.
